Catrina L. Blackwell was born in Columbus, Ohio and raised by her parents, Juan & Carol Blackwell, and her deceased stepfather, Amos G. Jones.

Catrina attended Pickerington High Central & Fairfield Career Center. While still in high school, she secured a position at Barken & Barken law firm as a File Clerk.

Catrina found the love of volunteering and now holds a position at neighborhood services Inc. food pantry as the receiving Specialist. Catrina finds great joy in helping others in need no matter their circumstances. As a result, Catrina decided to begin her own catering business, Carols Kitchen & Catering, named after her mother.
The business of operation is 5 years old April 29 and building upon Catrina’s love for the heart of people and the heart of her mother.

Loving on others though her family style of Southern soul food dishes as well as grounding her self in other cultures intricate cuisines implementing other culinary styles of service and food.

Catrina has completed her education becoming a certified Chef with an associates degree through Augusta Escoffee Culinary School.

Catrina’s love for cooking and people allows her to be compassionate, sensitive and caring to families that have been displaced or disadvantaged. One day looking to opening a feeding center.
Her motto is: “We minister through food, so we must Love Live & Eat!”

Whether in a church, a homeless shelter or the schools her children attend, you can find Catrina with her hands in just about everything. Catrina is committed to her community as well as leaving a legacy of service behind for future generations to follow.
